Christmas Club Savings Savings Rates & Terms

Our Christmas Club Savings Accounts offer a dividend rate of 0.35% and an annual percentage yield of 0.35%. A $50 daily minimum balance is required to earn dividends. The APY stated is accurate as of the last dividend declaration date, which is the last day of the previous quarter. Dividend rate and APY are variable and subject to change after the account is opened. If you close your account before dividends are paid you will not receive the accrued dividends.

How do I order Money Market checks?
If you wish to order checks for your Money Market account, please contact us at 850.862.0111, Option 4, or visit any of our branches during business hours.

Why is a Regular Share Savings (S1) account suffix required?
Credit Unions are financial institutions in which each member owns a share. At Eglin FCU this share is referred to as your Regular Share Savings suffix and it is required to open and maintain an account. A minimum $5 balance must remain on the Regular Share Savings suffix at all times to keep the account in good standing.

How do I find my tax statements, documents or forms?
Members who earned at least $10 in dividends during the calendar year will receive tax documents, such as tax form 1099-INT, from the Credit Union through USPS. If enrolled in eStatements, your tax documents will be available in Online Banking or the Mobile App by Jan. 31 and can be viewed, printed or saved at any time.

How do I check my transaction history?
Up to 24 months of transaction history is available within Online Banking and the Mobile App. If enrolled in eStatements, up to 18 months of your eStatements are available for you to access through Online Banking or the Mobile App. If you do not have eStatements and wish to keep your history, we recommend storing your monthly mailed statements in a safe place. For a fee, you may also request copies of your monthly statements by calling 850.862.0111, Option 4, or by visiting one of our branch locations during business hours.

How far back can I view my account history?

Is there a limit to how many transactions I can make to or from my Savings account each month?
There is no limit on how many transfers, withdrawals or deposits you may perform to or from your Eglin FCU Savings or Checking accounts each month; however, you must maintain a balance to keep the account open.

How do I add or remove a beneficiary to my account?
If you wish to add or remove a beneficiary on your account, please contact an Eglin FCU representative by calling 850.862.0111, Option 4, or visiting a branch during business hours.

Is there a limit to how many joints or beneficiaries I can add to my checking or savings account?
There is no limit to how many joint owners or beneficiaries can be on a checking or savings account.

Can I have more than one savings account?
In addition to the Regular Share Savings suffix (S1) required to open and maintain your membership at Eglin FCU, we also offer a Money Market, Christmas Club Savings, Very Important Purpose Savings and a Coverdell Education Savings. You may only have one of each type of savings account we offer.


Can other people deposit or transfer funds into my account?
To allow other members to deposit or transfer funds into your Eglin FCU account, you can instruct them to use Online Banking or the Mobile App. They also have the option to make deposits at the teller line in any local branch during business hours. If they prefer to conduct the transaction over the phone, they can call 850.862.0111 and select Option 4 during business hours. Additionally, Video Teller services are available for them to transfer funds into your account within business hours. It's recommended for them to have your account number, last name and the specific account suffix to complete the deposit or transfer successfully.

Can I deposit or transfer funds into another member's account?
Members of Eglin FCU can transfer funds to another member's account using Online Banking or the Mobile App. Deposits into another member's account can be made at the teller line in any local branch during business hours. For phone transfers to another member's account, call 850.862.0111 and select Option 4 during business hours. Video Teller services also allow transferring funds to another member's account within business hours. Regardless of the method chosen to deposit or transfer funds to another member's account, it's important to have the recipient's account number, last name, and the specific account suffix to ensure a smooth transaction.
