Frequently Asked Questions

Is there a fee for depositing rolled coin in person at a branch?
Members are not charged a fee for depositing rolled coin at the teller line in any of our branches.

Is there a fee for cashing in my US Savings Bonds?
If you are a member of Eglin FCU, there are no Credit Union costs or fees associated with cashing in your US Savings Bonds.

What is a bank draft and do you offer them?
A bank draft is a payment instrument issued by a bank that is similar to a check, but it is drawn on the bank's own funds. It is considered to be more secure than a personal check. At Eglin FCU we do not offer bank drafts because we are a credit union and not a bank, instead we offer Cashier's Checks and Teller Checks. See our Service Fee Schedule for current pricing on Cashier's Checks.

Can I exchange foreign currency at Eglin FCU?
No, we only handle United States currency and do not offer foreign currency exchange services.

What is a money order and do you offer them?

A money order is a prepaid paper document used to pay for goods or services, guaranteed by the issuer, often used for secure and convenient payments where cash or personal account information is not desired. You purchase it from credit unions like Eglin FCU, banks, post offices, or stores, fill in the recipient's details, and keep the receipt. Money orders are useful for sending money without revealing sensitive information. To request a money order, please visit one of our local branches during business hours. See our Service Fee Schedule for current pricing.
