Verification of Identity

Federal Law requires financial institutions to obtain, verify and record information that identifies anyone (member, joint owner, custodian, guardian, trustee, Power of Attorney) who opens or signs on an account.

There are many ways to qualify for membership. Use our simple tool to see if you are eligible.
Select Employee Groups (SEGs)
As a Select Employee Group, the employees, associates and members of your organization become automatically eligible to join Eglin FCU.
Eligibility Qualifications
There are many ways to qualify for membership at Eglin FCU.
Savings
A Regular Share Savings Account is required to establish and maintain membership with Eglin FCU.

 Lifetime Membership

Once a member, always a member.* Services such as Online Banking via a browser or the Eglin FCU Mobile App, CO-OP ATMs and Shared Branch provide convenient access to your account no matter where you live.

*Maintain your account for life with a minimum $5.00 balance, a good address, and at least one transaction each year.

Can I apply for membership online?
Yes. Please visit eglinfcu.org/join to check your eligibility, then select "join now" to apply for membership online! You must be 18 years or older to apply online.

How do I know if I am eligible for membership?
Please visit our eligibility qualifications page at eglinfcu.org/eligibility. If you are still uncertain, feel free to contact us by phone at 850.862.0111, Option 4, or visit a branch during business hours, and we will be happy to help.

Can I have more than one account at Eglin FCU?
At Eglin FCU, you may only have one account in your name. However, this account can encompass a variety of suffixes, allowing you to manage multiple financial products such as checking, savings, credit cards, and loans, all within one convenient account.

Where can I find my account number?
If you have forgotten your account number, call us at 850.862.0111, Option 4 or visit a branch for assistance.

What is joint ownership?
Joint Ownership means the account suffix is shared equally by two or more individuals who agree to share equal responsibility for any fees or charges incurred.

What is cross-account access?
Cross-Account Access grants someone access to perform specific actions on your account without making them a joint owner. Unlike joint ownership, cross-account access does not grant equal ownership rights or responsibilities.

Who can request a Verification of Deposit and how can this be accomplished?
A Verification of Deposit Form must be initiated by a third party and signed by the member. Please fax requests to 850.862.1087.

Can my child who is a minor join Eglin FCU?
Children under the age of 18 may become members of Eglin FCU, provided that the child is eligible for membership and meets qualifications. Please contact us at 850.862.0111, Option 4, or visit any of our branches during business hours.

Can I apply for a loan at Eglin FCU if I am not a member?

Can I open an Eglin FCU Checking or Savings account suffix if I am not a member?
To open an Eglin FCU account suffix such as checking, savings, IRAs or Share Certificates you must be a member. To apply for membership, visit eglinfcu.org/join or stop by a branch during business hours.

Can I open an Eglin FCU account for my business?
We do not currently offer or service business accounts or business loans.
