Password/PINs

The purpose of this document is to describe the rules that govern the assignment and use of passwords for Home Branch (account access by Internet) and STAR TELLER Direct Line (account access by phone). Please note that these passwords are separate fields. While these fields can be assigned the same values, it is recommended that you assign them different values. Please refer to the paragraphs below for detailed instructions for selecting passwords for these services.

Home Branch

Home Branch provides access to your account information from a personal computer via the Internet. After connecting to www.eglinfcu.org and clicking on the Home Branch link, you are prompted to enter your account number and your Home Branch password. If you enter the correct Home Branch password, you are granted access to your account information. If you enter an incorrect Home Branch password, you are prompted to retry the password.

Your Home Branch password will initially be generated for you by Eglin FCU and sent to you on a secure mailer. We require that you change the Eglin FCU-generated Home Branch password. Home Branch passwords are entered and treated as a series of alpha-numeric digits (0-9, A-Z, a-z, and most special characters). The rules for changing your Home Branch password are:

  • Alpha characters are allowed (A-Z, a-z).
  • Alpha characters are NOT case sensitive (A = a).
  • Numeric digits are allowed (0-9).
  • Most special characters are allowed ( ` ~ ! @ # $ % ^ & * ( ) - _ = + [ ] { } \ | ; : , < . > ).
  • Leading zeros are allowed.
  • Spaces are not allowed.
  • The minimum length is 8 digits.
  • The maximum length is 16 digits.
  • Changing your Home Branch password does NOT change any of your other Eglin FCU product passwords.
Home Branch passwords are protected by a "three strike" rule. If you, or anyone else, make three unsuccessful attempts to log in to your account with an invalid password, your account is marked as disabled for Home Branch access. To clear this condition, you must call our Member Services department, identify yourself as a valid account owner, and request that Home Branch access re-enabled. This precaution is used to prevent anyone from simply trying several accounts/passwords until they stumble upon a valid account/password combination.

STAR TELLER Direct Line

STAR TELLER Direct Line provides access to your account information from a touch-tone phone. After calling 1-850-863-3517 (local) or 1-800-468-8513 (toll-free) and selecting Option 1 (To Access Your Account…), you are prompted to enter your account number and your STAR TELLER Direct Line PIN. If you enter the correct STAR TELLER Direct Line password, you are granted access to your account information. If you enter an incorrect STAR TELLER Direct Line password, you are prompted to retry the password.

Your STAR TELLER Direct Line PIN will initially be generated for you by Eglin FCU and sent to you on a secure mailer. We require that you change the Eglin FCU-generated STAR TELLER Direct Line PIN. STAR TELLER Direct Line PINs are entered and treated as a series of numeric digits. The rules for changing your STAR TELLER Direct Line PIN are:
