Federal Law requires financial institutions to obtain, verify and record information
that identifies anyone (member, joint owner, custodian, guardian, trustee, Power of Attorney) with access
to financial accounts.
We require:
- Social Security/Tax ID Number (must be U.S. citizen or permanent resident alien)
- Date of birth
- Current residential address
- Valid photo and signature ID

This is the membership
account. The $5.00 minimum deposit is required to retain membership and all
other services. Credit Union provides, at no cost to the member, life insurance
on this account which matches the amount on deposit up to $2000, depending on
the member’s age at time of deposit. Review handout for details.
- Membership fee: None.
- Free Checking: A checking account requires an initial $5.00 deposit. Once you have established membership switching to EFCU Free Checking is easy when you use our Switch Kit.

No need to close an account if the member leaves the area. Members may maintain their account, as long as they keep a minimum
of $5.00, a good address, and make at least one transaction each year.
